The history of Dallmann started in 1954 when Guenther Dallmann opened his pastry shop in St. Gilgen, Austria offering only three types of pastries which were baked fresh daily. Because of Dallmann's attention to detail and use of only the finest and freshest ingredients, it did not take long for his pastry shop to become a locally renowned pastry paradise. Today Guenther's daughter Sylvia, together with her husband Franz, have expanded Dallmann, gaining a world wide reputation of being one of the finest pastry shops offering only the best quality.
People travel from all over the world to get a taste of our famous Mozart Travel Cake (in honor of Mozart's travels throughout Europe) or to enjoy one of the 120 varieties of pastries and sweets. In 2006, Franz and Sylvia's daughter Isabella Valencia expanded the family business into San Diego, California, opening Dallmann Confections and specializing in exquisite artisan chocolates. Keeping with the family tradition of using only the finest ingredients, Isabella, together with her husband Alexander, hand make Dallmann gourmet chocolates using the original family recipes.
